[Saloon-lovers] Aerial antenna for MK2

I have already have a vintage radio in my MK2 but no antenna for it.
Does anyone know where you could find a peridiocally suitable
antenna? Doesn’t have to be original Jaguar.

Where should the antenna be installed - is there any exact position.–

Jyrki,

I am responding to two of your emails at one time.

I have an original crank-up antenna left over from my 1960 Mark 2 that I do
not need. I removed the original AM only radio (positive ground) and antenna
and installed a modern radio with an electric antenna after converting to
negative ground. I think I can find all of the parts. You may have it for the
cost of shipping if you want it.

One of your countrymen, Pekka, lives in Helsinki. He is coming to Miami,
Florida over Christmas, I think. If you can contact him and you guys can find a
way for me to get the parts to him while he is here, let me know. I live in
Tampa, Florida (about a four hour drive from Miami), so I do not think he will
be coming here.

The spacers for the front license plate holder you referred to can easily be
made. The ones on my car (not sure if they are original) are 3/4" O.D. and
1/2" high. They have a 1/2" hole for the bolts.

Let me know about the antenna.
