[Saloon-lovers] Breather on front cover

Hi All,

I have an xk150 3.8 engine and the breather housing is
pointer to the left side of the car.

What kind of hose connects to this and where does it connect
to the pancake air filter housing?

Does any one have a picture of this set up?

Thanks,

The breathers in these cars simply went down the left side of the
engine and vented to atmosphere, this sort of set up lasted until,I
think,1964 and its outlawing was one of the first auto emissions
laws to come into effect and was instigated by California.
The hose is a kind of corrugated affair that is basically cardboard
wrapped in an aluminium foil.XK’s unlimited have good
representations of the original .–

dr,

Thanks for clarifying this. Can you describe where the
breather hose clamps to the body or engine on its way out?

With much appreciation,
