[Saloon-lovers] Clutch Master Refinish

I have fitted new rubber seals to my master cylinder but would like
to refinish the outside before fitting back in the car.

It is dirty and a little rusty on the outside.

I tried brasso wadding ( metal polish) on an area with no effect.

Any ideas ?

Cheers

I would use one of those 3M abrasive wheels with my electric drill (not
wire wheel…but the ones that look like heavy duty pot scrubbers).
Clean it right down to bare metal and then paint it semi-gloss black.
