Hi,

Not sure of what you mean, but looking at the latest photo
in your photo album of the MKV dash I would say everything
looks normal, and the fuel gauge is the small one to the
left, right next to the tach (RPM) the one that says
‘‘Petrol’’ on the face.

Like written here already, it should have three wires, if
your car still is positive ground then one should be the
power feed (-) and the two other wires, when grounded (+),
should light up the yellow warning light for low fuel
level and the other one move the needle. Mine was stuck
too but just a gentle tap and trying it out with a full
battery got it working just fine. My sender was toast
(very bad condition, totally corroded) but an XK120 sender
could easily be modified to work well (shorten and bend
the rod for the float). I hope this helps.

Cheers,

Ps. Since you are that far already, you can just take the
‘‘Petrol’’ gauge out for testing and possibly repairing and
adjusting, just unplug the wires and open the screws that
attach it to the panel.–
The original message included these comments:

I intend to identify the fuel meter of MKV before I go to
the rear side of the facia. (The fuel meter of my MKV doesn’
work now.)
So please tell me if there is a rear view of the fuel
in the photo which is now going to be attached.

P.S.

I’m sorry for the exppression error.
I wanted properly to express as ‘‘rear view’’ at the part.–
