[Saloon-lovers] Looking for MK2 in Florida

Hi,

I am just completing my restoration on my '67 MK2 and looking for a second
to restore in a “Coombs” style rallye car. For some reason I have this
crazy idea to rally a MK2 in the One Lap of America & Mexican Pan Carrera.
So if you know of a MK2 in the Florida area for sale, drop me an e-mail.

Hi Bruce the Baikie

Good luck with the MKII search.

The One Lap of America & Mexican Pan Carrera sound like fun can you give me
any details,

although I cannot take part this year or next it could be great fun to follow.

Thanks

Bruce,

I’d check with the rules committee for the “Mexican Pan Carrera” race you
plan on entering with the MK 2. Two Jaguar owners in my home town of Santa
Barbara always enter the race with 1950 vintage cars.(a MK1 and a xk 120)
because they say no cars that did not exist before, I think, 1957 (the last
year of the orignal race, I think) are allowed to enter. Of course both the
xk 120 and MK 1 are highly modified (4.2 engines, etc.)
