[Saloon-lovers] Mk 2 Steering - Upper Bearing

The inner steering column is out, but cannot get the horn
slip ring past the new nylon upper bearing when trying to
replace the inner column. Any suggestions?

Upper bearing goes in, inner shaft comes in from the bottom…I
did mine a year and a half ago…I think I shoved the inner
shaft up, then installed the lower bearing.–

TOC,

Thanks. I tried the bottom up approach, but the frame would
not allow it. I have since figured out how to do it. New
nylon bearing in the bottom and the old felt in the top.
