[Saloon-lovers] Re: Harvey Bailey

I wanted to try that set-up & their rear bar on my racing MK2 but they have
never responded to 3 e-mails. Perhaps they don’t do business in the US or
are they simply jerks to deal with? Sue

Sue,

Are you certain you sent the email to the correct address? I’ve
always had an answer within 3 days at the most.

sales@harveybailey.co.uk

I bought one of their rear ARBs for my S.

I had to call them because their online marketplace wasn’t
working for US residents.

The bar didn’t fit my 65 Mk 2 3.8, it hit the rack and
pinion.

I ended up installing an S-type bar instead.

I swapped their front bar for their rear bar, and it made a
huge difference. The read end is super solid now.–

Mine (for an S) was 265 GBP (without VAT or shipping) in 2013 -
full kit with fasteners. At the time they said it was the last one
in stock, in an earlier mail they had quoted 275, but said that
they had none in stock so it would take a while to produce.

Current price is 230 plus shipping for either the front or
the rear bar. Since the British currency has recently
dropped significantly, the price is U.S. dollars is now less
than $300 USD.–

I just got mine from SNG for $479. Seems a bit much for
what you get. There is a Youtube video about the
installation but I don’t know how to link to it.–
