[Saloon-lovers] Re: New S Type

I disagree that the new 3.8S is “just as ugly” as a Scorpio - I wouldn’t
insult the Scorpio so

Yeah, they made it faster, so people don’t have to look at it for as long.
By the way, I liked Tauraur. I’ve been calling it a Faguar

Lets just face facts.
You will get used to this car just the same as people have in the past.
How many people would have said in the past, “Did you see the latest MKI,
II, 420, MK X,etc, Jaguar. Its Butt Ugly and no where near as nice as the
old model !” Then years later, " Why don’t Jaguar stick to a design like
the beautiful S Type made in the 90’s, this car looks like a puffed up toad,
etc" It’s like banging you head against a brick wall, you soon get used to
it.

Now, back to proper Saloon talk…

given the choice of driving the original ‘S’ type or the new ‘S’
type
I would go for the classic ‘S’ type. But then I have three cars none
of which is younger than 35 years old. If I had a job where I was
covering high mileage, on the road all day I could not in all
honesty
go for the classic ‘S’ type. I would want the new BMW beating ‘S’
type
I like the new ‘S’ type but then again I like beating my head
against a
brick wall
