hi jim
excess baggage weighing 1.5 tons !!!
my next project is to get going again on my “original” 1969 DV8
i’m going for concourse and expect it to take 5-10 years.
the car im now breaking was gonna be a car i could drive
everyweek ,to give me incentive to finish my real resto job
i may have a spare ratchet , i’ll have a look and mail you later

G’day Ian,

like Lennie, I am sorry to hear of the vandalism of your Daimler.

In the most unlikely event of your having an original toolkit for
‘dismantling’ (If you had a spare complete one, I am sure that you wouldn’t
be splitting it!) I am looking to purchase an original jack ratchet - this
is the only item missing from my Daimler’s toolkit.

Anyway, I hope that you have more luck with your next ‘project’, whatever
that may be.

best regards,

Jim Ellis.
(1963 Daimler 2.5 litre V8 - incidently, this was purchased from an ‘Arthur
Daley like’ outfit in Bromley Kent by my wife and I a few weeks after we
were married in London in 197, and shipped as “excess baggage” from Messina
to Sydney in late 1973 with us.)
