George,
Our two cars ran quite well, but I did a bit of jumping around
fixing this and that on some of the others… Thats me fixing the
black TVR in the last few pics (Link is ‘‘150 Bilder’’) at:
www.flaming-wheels.com/laendleclassic04.htm
There is also some streaming video at the link titled ''Video'',
but sadly the film crew were more focused on the Ferrari and
completely missed a couple of thoroughly enjoyable power drifts in
the Mk II. Our ‘‘E’’ is the red, Nr. 17. There is a ‘live action
shot’ of my hands at the TVR bit at the very end of the clip.
Both cars performed flawlessly in spite of being driven hard in
a few ‘hilly’ bits at 35 degc, and even harder on the closed off
sections. Indeed the MK II steering improved from having been
pounced around a bit. The Sunday was mountain roads with wet
leaves, rain and fog, so neither of us got all too wild with
Newtonian dynamics.
Total Fluid loss (excluding gogo juice):
1 small dribble coolant from lower hose, when cold Sat. a.m. (Mk II)
1 l oil each, mostly from the rear seals (Parking at 45 deg nose up)
Just enough brake fluid in the E to make the light flicker a bit.
Day 1 the E was 3rd, we were 12th (of 70)
Day 2 the E was 12th, we were 19th (One massive mistake on a stage)
Day 3 results not yet in.
