Hi there. I again need some technical assistance. I am nearly finished
with the interior work on my 67 S-type, just waiting for the woodwork.
However, I could no longer wait to take a drive in my car, so I drove it
around the block with lots of wires and meters dangling ffrom the
dashboard. I know its stupid, but could not help myself.
Anyway, when I bought the car, the speedo was not working as the cable
was removed. The previous owner supplied me with a brand new cable, and
told me that he unknowingly only bought the top half of the cable, and
that I should get the bottom part as well. This is the first time I
have heard of a speedo cable consisting of two parts, so if anyone can
please tell me whether this is possible, I really would appreciate it.
I had a look through the workshop manual but could not find any
reference to this effect.
