[Saloon-lovers] Saloon Newcomer Parts Inquirey

Greeting to all,

I am new to the Saloon list. Just aquired a 1963 MK II to toy

with. My plans are to bring this complete saloon back to it’s
total splendor.

Question for the list as I can not seem to zero in on the

archives with a key word that hits exactly what I would like to
find out: Is there a central parts list or a good definitive parts
supplier for these cars? As I have been on the XJ-40 list for
sometime there is a ‘‘Parts, Parts’’ thread posted there from time to
time that outlines several parts depots and individual suppliers.

Our car seems to be very complete and by the way this one has

power steering, autobox and sunroof w/ 3.8L engine. Thanks for
reading and hope to read about any suggestions that are out there.

Best to all,
Gregory S. McCord–

In reply to a message from Scotlander sent Thu 14 Aug 2003:

www.XKS.com is the website for XKSUnlimited - they have a nice
catalogue based on the factory parts manual. Some of the other
suppliers have no catalogues and are perfectly happy to have you
refer to XKs. SNG Barrett does well. Exotic Car Parts does
well. Moss Motors has most of the engine and drive train parts.
I suspect they all share the same basic suppliers but their prices
vary somewhat. There used to be a gal at Exotic Car Parts that
included a piece of candy in the packaging, but she quit there.
Several more suppliers advertise in British Marque Car Club News.
Good Luck–

You may want to check out www.jagweb.com as that site has a fairly complete
listing of various vendors which are searchable by location, vendor types,
clubs…anything jaguar related.
