[Saloon-lovers] Spin-On oil filter {Scanned}

Darrell,

Please take a digital picture of the Spin-On oil filter adapter and post

it on Jag-Lovers. That way others can see what kind of adapter you have
and offer suggestions. There are aftermarket adapter units that can use a
wide variety of filters, but not necessarily the same ones. In addition
some have taken spin on oil filter assemblies from later version XK engine
and modified their engines with these. In that case OEM filters, or
suitable substitutes, are what’s needed. It would also be helpful to know
what the diameter of the threaded portion of the adapter is that the filter
screws onto and the outer and inner diameters of the base surface where the
seal on the filter surface presses up against when the filter is tightened
down into place.

The adapter was on the car when I bought it, so I don’t know what
it might be.

thanks.
