Some weeks ago a member on the list mentioned that they were going to try to
substitute PS 420G/MK 10 tie rod ends for the 420 PS RH/LH tie rod ends
that are presently unavailable.
Have you done so, and how did it work out? Is this a bolt on swap?

I believe that might have been me. The answer to your question is yes,
they are identical direct replacements. The only difference I could see was
the size of the rubber grommet/boot on the new ones were larger than the
ones I took off but they compressed nicely. I bought two different
manufacturers from two different persons on Ebay. All 4 tie rod ends fit
perfectly.
Mind you that I have only driven the car a total of about 1/2 mile since
the replacement because I have the entire interior out, but they were the
same size and fit and threads as what came off.
