I am restoring a XK120FHC, but do not have the original engine. Car was imported from the USA. I am looking for W3967-8. I realize it is a needle-in-the-haystack search, but maybe someone knows the whereabouts.
What part of the United States? I have a W3485 which is pretty close considering.
One good way would be to search the excellent website database of “Keeping track of every XK” constructed by a gent who also is a member of this forum (if you havent already done this)
I believe it is possible to search out by engine numbers alone
You would have to suspect that if you have no engine or a similar Jag replacement,
the original engine probably failed
Do you have a Jag engine in it now, if so what is its serial number ?
A browse search for W3967-8 on xkdata.com reveals W3967-8 was in 679200; it now has V1707-8.
Pretty close to my car 679187, probably went down the line the same week.
