Passenger side shoulder restraint would not extend, not even going to try dealer for warranty, raised seat and .oved forward, popped retainig fasteners and removed cover was able to pop off cover exposing latch mechanism and applied wd40 liberally.belt now works unles I put the cover back on then the gears bind!
Honestly, when it comes to seat belt issues, most dealers have to warranty the repairs for pure safety reasons. It just takes a 2 minute phone call to your local Jaguar dealer to ask. I wouldn’t want to spend hours trying to repair something that is covered by a lifetime warranty. Most car companies warranty their seat belt mechanisms for life. Not with those units being a retractable setup, most parts are probably obsolete for that system. But if they will diagnosis it for free and you just buy the parts needed from a Jaguar recycler, it’s a win win for you.
