Rob, it’s true that generally you do not need a fan: the need is related to the use, rather than design. Traffic jam in Spain in July is rather different than my smooth driving in The Netherlands at 25°C.
I will put the catch tank (great idea) and leave the dynamo. I forgot to check whether the car is positive or negative earth.
There are no comments on the electronic ignition. Any first hand experience thoughts there?
This thread is useful, but before and after experience would be good to know, as well.
