Hello all
Came across note in my searching about replacing heater pipe which runs length of block with a xopper one within xjs forum, kirby book note.
Good idea.
Mine is f#$#ing gone.
Corroded blocked mess…prefer not to deal with it.
Ah, copper pipe from home depot per the book note. Perfect.
Question, any reason replacing original 1/2 inch dia. pipe with 3/4 would be a bad idea?
Not enough pressure from theae pumps for a 3/4 pipe or something?
Would allow alot more flow to the heater, not to mention qualities of copper etc.
Would really like to know. 1/2 dia. does seem small.
TIA
Kind regards

I used copper on my MK2 , used thin plastic sleeves between the pipe and brackets !

Perfect.
Precisely what I intend…
Strangely, no SS tubing within local home depot.
E b a y searched revealed more than double price of copper available at local home depot. 24in for $12 and 45degree fittings available too at 2$ EA.
Going with it.
THANKS for the photo…miss my mk2.
The S1 xj6 has a rather close feel I might add.
Like a mk2 update…which i suppose it was.
Kind regards
As there is no slight kink as in the original pipe , I just added a few inches to the rubber hose !
