Source for replacement of Rear brake shoes adjuster

54 XK-120 OTS Rebuilding the rear brakes I find every part available except the Adjuster Assembly.

The assemble part numbers are:
39037 Adjuster Assembly RH
39038 Adjuster Assembly LH
31188 Stud for Screwdriver Adjustment
31185 Bracket for Adjuster Spring

I’ve consulted the Moss Motors site and the Barrett site and shows not available.

If they are not available worldwide, does anyone know of a shop that rebuilds old ones. Mine are frozen since I’m restoring a barn find that sat for 46 years.

Thanks in advance for sources-

Jim

Hi Jim ,
Coventry Auto Components list it for a "bargain " of GBP 1.194.- a set .Martin

Thanks Martin- Ill give them a try today.

If they’re the same as the 140, they’re not too hard to restore. Mine were completely seized up, but when I discovered the only ones available anywhere were the Coventry ones at over £1,000 a pair, my mind became more focused and I managed to repair mine quite easily. A good soak in penetrating fluid, or diesel, let everything off and they come apart fairly simply to clean up and reassemble. There’s no hydraulic cylinders to deal with.
I tried Mike Read, who has imported a lot of US XK parts which he sells on, but even he had none. Apparently they’ve all been hoovered up by the C-type replica crowd, like the rear brake backplates.

Another british company which is specialized to XKs is Guy Broad .
I bought parts for the rear brakes from them about 2 years ago .
Sales@guybroad.co.uk . I am just a satisfied customer , no friends there .
