I did some research on this switch a while ago which is documented in this thread:
It appears that at least 2 of the usuals have “rationalized” their inventories to substitute the 2 position interior light switch to provide functionality which is not quite the same as the original switch. Whether this is a result of non-availability of the original 3 position switch, or for inventory reduction I don’t know…
