Static timing on 3.4 s type

can you set static timing with electronic ign or if not what would the strobe timing be on a 3.4 s type.

Depends, I am using 123 ignitions on all my Jags.
They have a led light inside to adjust static timing, works great.

Yes, you should be able to do it with a 12 volt lamp or a multimeter. Connecting the lamp to the negative side of the coil and earth - it will remain lit until the ignition module switches through to ground. Set the required initial timing - eg 10 deg BTDC on an E type then rotate the distributor (aiming for No6 cylinder) until the lamp just goes out - the sparking point. Clamp down distributor. There’s bound to be a YouTube video. Paul.

Hello
What curve did you choose with your 123 ignition ? I have a Stype with a 4,2 l engine, two Su carbs HD8.

Just give it a try, I tried several settings.
At the moment I am using setting “1” looks just fine.

O.K., I will try the setting “1”, may i ask you what engine you’ve got ?
