I have a 94 xj6 I have been having problems with a small dead spot in the steering wheel. I recently installed a new rack but that did not help. I have been checking the steering shaft and noticed there is a small amount of play between the steering wheel and the shaft under the dashboard. Is there anything in the column itself that could cause play?
