Steering geometry

Time to get to work with my Dunlop gauges and setup castor, camber and toe-in.
Does anyone really set their modern radials (Blockley 185/16) to positive camber these days on a rack-and-pinion car? I’m going to guess that maybe -¼deg is about right?

I am not near to my reference books, but I use the original factory numbers for all (castor, camber, et al) with my Vredestein 185 HR16 93H radials and the car behaves very nicely at all speeds up to and including 85 MPH highway cruising. I remember it was a bit of a dog before I went through the front suspension and corrected everything to factory values. Original 1953 XK120SE FHC, not a rack-and-pinion.

After just a few thousand miles my front tiers (expensive Michelin Pilot X) wear heavily on the outside. It drives very nicely and straight, even at 100mph

I therefor assume the camber too positive. I have a date for wheel alignment. I will make it less positive - just do not want to buy new tires every few thousand miles.
