Good Morning, Plse can someone let me know the differences between the steering racks on the XJ6 Ser 1 , 2 and 3. There were 7 diff.kits used and i would like to find out how to tell the diff betwen the racks so that I know which kit goes onto which rack.

I think the best idea is that you first identify exactly which rack you do have? Adding that in the world of Jaguar; a PO may have installed a rack different from the original model year…

Generally, there were likely LHD and RHD versions, maybe long-and short tower, possibly (was there ever?) a non-PAS rack. They could have used a ZF rack on late models like on the XJS but maybe not. I‘d say you need the parts numbers of the kits and compare to the parts catalogues.
