The new diode bridge for the alternator didn’t arrive today, thu no alternator for me…
Update:
the alternator has been fully rebuilt and is functioning perfectly.
Voltage now is 13.4 Volts while charging…

I know it’s been mentioned before but just check all the earth straps while you’re in there.
The one to engine is particularly important, I had some very weird electrical issues traced finally to a dodgy earth strap.
Yup, some diodes were shot, the brushes were nearly gone and there was a lot of dust from those brushes inside.
It now has new bearings, brushes, diodes and good cleaning of the interior.

no worries in that department. All the earth connections were redone during the restauration in 2017.
No high resistances anywhere in the eart connections…
Agree. Been there, fixed that with a redundant strap from the one on the wing wall to the engine…
