Thermal valve 1988 3.6 l

Hi chaps , I have just had the head gasket done on my 88 , mechanic has broken the Thermal valve connections , i have a question , the part number in the classic web pages has the valve as EAC2630 , if we can’t locate one of these is the one used on a 5.3 , part number EBC2630 interchangeable ? I also have looked at the one on a series 3 which looks similar . Any and all help will be appreciated greatly . Thanks Mark

Steven , Thanks , i’m in Australia and just need to know if the 12 one is the same as the six .
