Tips on front screen fitting

I can’t see much info on fitting the front screen / headlineing. Any one got tips ?
I have the main headlining in and the back window .
Thanks

I first fitted the 2 screens in the rubber, then with rope in the outside seem pulling the rubber around the window frame from the inside. You need a helper on they outside.
Afterwards a have put window sealer, and the chrome surroundings, but that is difficult.
I used black Polymer to glue the chrome to the rubber, it kept on going loose.
Good luck, and take your time.

I was wondering where to trim the headlineing A or B

I used B, and only glue for the headliner on the outside.

Not sure how an XK was done, but the original headliner on my MKII was done like version A. So that’s the way I installed the new one.

On a XK B is the way to go as headliner will not hit the top metal, if you glue that you will always look at it.
Have done that on the rear window, it doe not look straight that way.

Cloth headliner, A to limit wicking water from outside the car.
Vinyl headliner, B like VW Beetles.

I have done the rear like A ,but there is very little rubber covering the edge of the cloth . I was worried about wicking if done B but some sealant might prevent that
