Hi all,
Need new tires for my CJR C-Type. It currently has Avon Turbo Steel 185 R16 93V radials front and rear. I’m pretty happy with these tires other than they seem to pickup quite a bit of small gravel and through pebbles up into the inside of my fenders, even at 14 years old. I starting to get quite a few little pimple sized dents from underneath. I’m planning on taking the dents out and then putting some stone guard underneath the rear fenders. Other tire choices are PIRELLI CINTURATO CA67 185 VR 16, Vredestein, Michelin, Blockley, or Dunlop racing tires. All my English friends say I want crossply’s, but I always thought radials had a better ride and were much safer. What say you?
I have the vreds on my D and Pirelli P7s on my e type. I think you’ll be very happy with vreds. I wouldn’t worry too much about the pimples, your car looks amazing.
