Trip milage report

I just did a road trip in my X Type and got 8.2 litres per 100 kilometers over 1600 kilometers. This converts to over 35 miles per gallon (imperial). I don’t have conversion tables handy, so can’t say what it works out to in ‘merican’. I used pump tapes and averaged over several fills to balance out under and over filling.

How does this compare to what others on the forum are getting? The car is a 3.0 AWD. Gas in Saskatchewan is cheaper than in Alberta; go figure.

I get about 29 miles/US gallon, highway.

I found a nifty conversion calculator on the web. 8.2 l/100 km is 28.7 mpg (US), so we’re getting about the same mileage. For a 3 liter V6 engine and AWD that is a very good mileage. This weekend I’m taking the XK8 to a show in Radium.
