The switch on the driver’s door sees the most use and those plungers will show the most wear when disassembled. Some of the plungers on the other switches, like the rear doors and trunk lid, often look almost new. I tested, disassembled, cleaned, reassembled, and retested a bunch of these switches that I harvested from my three Series III XJ6 parts cars (each has five of them) yesterday because I was contacted off list for some of them. I have a few more good ones sitting here on my desk.
