Iv’e been a member of the Jag-Lovers forum for years and years now. I’ve posted and answered well over a 1000 times, donated money and yet I’m only a BASIC patron. Not even a level 1 !!! I haven’t even earned the right to view the Pub section … it’s a bit insulting.

First, you are in Trust Level 1 ('basic user" is Trust Level 1).
The forum system handles promotions automatically. After a quick look at your profile, I think perhaps the reason why you haven’t yet been promoted to Trust Level 2 is this:
In other words, as soon as you click the little heart symbol below a post, any post, you should be automatically promoted to Trust Level 2.

Did you try clicking like (the heart) on a message yet? If I’m right, that should instantly see you promoted to “Member”/Trust Level 2.
