Unidentified SS1

Here’s one for the SS sleuths.
Original chassis number is unknown. They’ve apparently taken one from the oil filler cap for registration, but it looks to me like 135775.

It’s up for auction in the Netherlands.

I wonder, is there a chassis number stamped somewhere on the chassis?
Is Ed still with us? He would know.

I love the fire extinguisher.

An attractive and interesting car but ‘Correct and original’ ?
Phillips-head screws in the dashboard. 0/10 for their homework?

Ed no longer frequents JL: he’s still kicking, though.

Hi,

I agree the “commission nr.” is clearly 135775.

Most likely reserve will not be met. So we’ll perhaps see it listed again on then someone make deal after bidding has closed. Does look like period colours though, a nice touch IMO.

Cheers!

Ps. In the earlier descriptions it has been said that the engine (and thus the oil cap) are not original to this car. I think these early SS1/SS2 only had the chassis / commission number on that plate attached to one of the bell housing bolts, so unlikely the original number could ever be figured out.

Hi,

So the reserve was “nearly” met at €105.000 euros (ca. $120.000 USD).

Cheers!
