Looks more like a V24 by the amount of pipes.
IIRC, Allisons/Merlins were 4-valve engines, ergo the 24 pipes.

A lessor take is the swap out of the little four in the Ford 8n and 9n tractors for a flat head V8… Again that cool thing…
