after pulling the engine and head, we found a real mess of carbon and crust on the inside of the head and block. pistons were really dirty. we are going to rebuild both.

Any ridge? What does the bottom end look like?
Beware modern chain tower replacement stuff.
Really dont know at this point. We take it to the machine shop soon. Not sure what you mean by ridges.
Ridges at the top of the cylinder wall where the piston rings reverse direction.
