At a close look my camshafts have pitted from water damage, now looking for two more. Does the two numbers on the camshaft identify the correct cam for a 1973 v12 with carburettors and how late did the cams go before changing the grind etc cheers Richard.
Bywater once told us that the V12 cams never really changed other that adding “quieting ramps”. That would make a difference to setting the valve clearances I think, but nothing else.

No, sorry. Bywater would, you might try contacting him at AJ6 Engineering. I suppose it would have resulted in a part number change, so a different part number would be the indicator.
