I can’t find ANY Jaguar dealer mechanics who know anything about
the Rogue engine. I was informed from what I believe is a reliable
source, that both the car and the engine are of a very limited
number, and that the engine is a VERY special 325 horsepower
monster. I know mine runs like a maserati ghibli. Any commentary ?–

Do you mean the “Rouge” which was a package offered during the late 80’s and
early 90’s.

Yes, your source is wrong. The Rouge has the same engine as any other 1991
XJS and is a trim package with special paint color, wheels, piping on the
seats and badging. It is a limited edition model and may have some future
collectibility, but its the XJRS your source may be thinking of that has a
special engine. That car has a JaguarSport 6.0 liter ( modified from 5.3)
V12 that puts out around 320 HP.
It is possible your car has been modified from its original configuration,
if so, nothing applies, as who knows what may have been done to it.
