[v12-engine] EAC 2630 Thermal Valve

Hi All,

My car has a Thermal Valve EAC 2630 mounted on the left hand water pipe that
nothing is hooked up to. It has two vacuum line attachments. I assume that
it was used prior to the recall associated vapour recovery. If this correct
and it is not needed, could it be replaced with a temperature gauge so that
actual water temps could be read.

Hello Byrnal!

I believe that the thermal valve you describe is supposed to be used in
conjunction with the drivers side (left) fuel pressure
regulator near the front of the engine on the end of the fuel rail. The hose
barb that comes straight out from the fitting goes to
a port on the front of the left manifold, the angled barb goes to the left
regulator on the fuel rail. I wonder how that is plumbed now?

Purpose is to allow greater fuel pressure when hot to prevent vapor lock.

kind regards,

Donald, The thermal valve you are talking about is on the left side fuel
rail on mine. The valve I am talking about is on the left side water pipe.
The vacuum line to the valve came off of the manifold crossover pipe and
then from the valve to a delay valve and then to the cannister, I think.
