I remember seeing something about HE heads not flowing very well
at high rpm, thus not good for engines required/wanting to spin
very high. Assuming a suitable camshaft, what’s the effective
rpm limit?
Otherwise,are pre-He heads a direct bolt on to an HE block?

I’m sure there’s more qualified people on this list to answer this,
but AFAIK it’s something like 8,500 for both pre-HE and HE. The
problem has more to do with the ignition (which simply can’t keep up
in standard form) than flow.
