[v12-engine] J-L Picnic

Hey…

I’m going to be at the J-L picnic in New Jersey this Sunday…I’ll be
driving a Diamond Blue '91 VDP.

Any listers wanting to meet me just look for the big, noisy, obnoxious guy
in the taupe Jaguar golf shirt.

Cheers,

Jeb

Hey Jeb: I think I can corner the market on “look for the garish Jaguar
owner.” I’ll be the 6’5", 285 lb guy wearing oversized Tai Chi sparring
pants and a Black and yellow Aloha Shirt…Oh yeah don’t forget that I’ll be
driving, Lord willing, a very red, very loud, very fast XJ-S. The only
redeeming thing about me and my outfits and car is that it is what I always
drive and always wear. As they say…beware any life change that causes you
to change your mode of dress. I might have to have several straffing runs
before I actually land at the site. Oh my I do so look forward to meeting
everyone. It has been 5 or 6 years of being on the list and this is the
first chance I get to meet people. I hope people understand that I am a
child of the 60’s and I won’t remember anyone’s screen names or their real
names…It is the sort of thing that came out of the 60s…if you can
remember it you really weren’t there. Jeb,
are you going to go on the “Cavalcade of Jaguar Champions” that going to
happen in the morning. I have never been on one. I wonder how many cars
with break down and how many drivers will rear-end others. Bradley

Jeb, I am so sorry that I cannot attend as planned. My work related
obligations for next week are set in stone, sadly. And, as much as I’d like
to see you and the others, I can’t manage flying out Saturday and rushing
back Sunday night. Ah well. There’ll be a next time, I’m sure.

On the bright side, not going to NJ leaves me open to attend a jag concours
in Brit Columbia Saturday----less than 300 miles away. Hope to see some NW
listers there…I know Gregory will be there but who else ?

Cheers and have fun,

Hey, you may be big and noisy… and… oops, nevermind.

Looking forward to seeing you again, Jeb! You gotta show me all the
fun stuff in your XJ40.

For those who are looking, I’ll be the 6’2" 135 lb blonde kid wearing
the BRG polo shirt with the black '82 XJ-S that has no dashboard with
VA plates and is in desperate need of a wash and wax. Hopefully I’ll
be able to get that done before I come!!

I look forward to meeting you all!

Doug: C’mon!! If you fly out I’ll pick you up from the airport and
drop you off! ;-)–

really small tight roads… real fun… too bad only 1 another E-type was
able to keep up… had to stop and wait for the rest…
