[v12-engine] New 215/70WR15 Pirelli tyres for V12 engined cars

Hi Team

Pirelli have produced a 215/70WR15 tyre again.

Or if you like we have it on our standard web site too

The CN12 tread pattern came out in 1971, and the W speed rating means it can handle up to 170mph. When I had a series 3 V12 saloon I only managed 147mph,
but it didn’t feel like it had run out of go, I had run out of road. that car just felt like it would keep accelerating for ever.–

advertising bans aside, I don’t think this tire size applies to
the e-type, which used a 205 series tires. Not a V12 specific
tire, but perhaps Sedan specific?–

As an aside, the early XJ-S came with 205/70VR15… NLA from any source so far as I know. I’ve been using 215/70R15 but there’s a bit of rubbing of the left front in a sharp turn.

It would be nice to get a VR or WR rated, summer compound, 205/70
tire. I also have 215/70’s on my V12. They are too tall, by
6/10ths of an inch.–

You are becoming quite the annoyance with your constant
postings about products that you sell, discarding the friendly
reminders not to advertise.
No only will you be my last resort for tyres but whatever you
advertise will be in the same category.
I’m not on your team, in case you hadn’t figured it out.–

I’m running 225/65-17 on 6x15 wires.
A little rubbing on one of the fresh air hoses - that’s it.–

I think series 2 & 3 XJ V12 saloon cars fitted 215/70R15.

this is a massive bargain http://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/page/215-70vr15-pirelli-cn12.html

Ole-XKE1974 - I’m sorry if my comments offend you. some people take offence and some people consider it interesting information about what options are out there. and of course, like any comments, on any forums, you have to sift out what you want to take on board and what you believe to be a load of rubbish
