It’s always a good idea to get the engine to TDC on A1 before
pulling the distributor. Makes it much easier to get it back in.
Thanks Ed. The vent tube was detached from the AAV - not sure if that
was the problem though. liked your pic of the exploded distributor -
could explain the engine fire on my 78 double Six way back!
Anyway, thought I would pull the distributor since Kirby seems very
insistent on this point - ambiguity in his procedure tho - does No1
need to be at TDC - or is this only for the early OPUS do you know?
