[v12-engine] Re Fuel disappearing

In reply to a message from Nicholas Holt sent Fri 21 Jul 2006:

Clearly the gas is not being stolen, as the car is kept in a locked
garage. I drove the car today, and the tank that was empty when I
started it up yesterday is now half full. So I’m guessing that they
probably connected a fuel line between the two tanks when they did
the shoddy repair, so gas is now moving from one tank to the next
randomly… This really is a mystery to me.

Does anyone know of a reputable, and reasonably priced Jaguar
mechanic in Vancouver, BC, that I might have look at the previously
shoddy repair?–

It may be that the crossover valve or either of the fuel
return solenoids may have failed. This failure can cause
all sorts of crazy fuel swaps between tanks.–
