[v12-engine] stalling E-type SIII

I ran out of petrol in my SIII E-type and since then it runs OK for
a couple of miles then stalls. After a few minutes resting it
starts OK and runs fine for a couple of miles before cutting out
again. I am not sure if running the tank dry was just a co-
incidence. Any ideas what I should check?–

Sounds like you picked up the trash that would be in the tank. Have
you removed the drain from the bottom of the tank? Doing this you
will get a gas bath, but you will see how much trash is on the
pickup tube filter.

Sounds like crud from the bottom of the tank is blocking a filter somewhere.

I assume E-types have a fuel sump tank. If so, pop it open
(after pinching off the lines) and check the pick-up filter screen.
