The idea is to unscrew all cylinder head bolds with just a few turns. (NOT
TO MUCH) Try to keep all important ignition and fuel parts on the engine in
place or install them back on when you are done loosening the head nuts.

If your oil pump is working your method will work but you’ll have hell to pay
in cleaning up the mess.
I would try it with the ignition disconnected first and just crank the engine
