Does anyone has a source for the inlet piece (three bolt)
which has the temp. switch boss, either early push-in or
later screw-in. I cannot find it offered by any of the
usual sources. Mine is too corroded for my taste.

Which switch type does it take?
Didn’t somebody figure out how to prevent the push-in type from
blowing out? Like, perhaps wrapping wire around the housing and over
the top of the switch?

is it possible to cut threads into the infernal push-in
type?
Anything’s possible. If there’s not enough meat to cut threads into,
you could build it up with weld material and then cut threads. Or
you could cut larger diameter threads and then screw in an adapter,
and screw the switch into that.
