Is the Vrederstein 185 a tubless tire?
Yes, if you have tubeless wheels. I have installed mine with tubes, before I got new wheels, then tubeless when I got new MWS tubeless wires.
(As an aside, if anyone needs four basically new 15” tubes, let me know)

The Dayton wheels that are currently being made are tubeless. I assume that has been the case for at least the last several years, but don’t know how long. To be tubeless, they have to have the spoke nipples sealed off so they don’t leak air. Not sure how recently yours were manufactured.
