Vvt oil solenoid fault code

Hi folks, I have a 2007 XKR that’s been showing an engine fault for a few months. A local garage mechanic told me it was a Lamda sensor and not urgent. The car drives well an has no apparent issues. I recently decided to look into it and bought an alarm reader and downloaded the torque pro app to my phone. The fault code is p0075 and according to the manual this is the bank 1 vvt oil solenoid high resistance - so it’s the wiring or the solenoid.
Has anyone tested this or changed one out? Doing a bit of research, I think it is inside the camshaft cover on the RHS front. Do I need to remove the cover to reach it, do I need to get new gaskets and how big a job is it.
Thanks Mike.
