I have an early 1969 E-Type Series 2 Fixed Head Coupe without the steering ignition lock mechanism. I’ve been told that the bracket depicted below was used on the Series 1.5 and early Series 2 before the ignition steering lock mechanism was introduced. The part number for this metal bracket is C29128 for Left Hand Drive Jags.
Please let me know if you have this part as I’m interested in installing it on my car and eliminating the home made bracket that the previous owner of my car installed for some unknown reason.
