Sorry forgot to mention that these are front shocks.

I know you straight out said you want to go original, but according to info from a shock absorber specialist that they are the same as a long list of mainly vans and SUVs, which are much less expensive,

I published this list on this forum, so its searchable

good luck.

I have some NOS shocks that may or may not be from MKX/420G,
I got them from a guy selling his surplus MKX parts

My suggestion would be to buy a nondescript shock, bead blast it and paint it the proper blue/grey color.

These look the part / or they may one that does.

The shocks are relatively well hidden in your car, so color would be more important than the embossed “G”.

Hope that helps.

I have a set of Girling shocks from a Mk2. Fairly low mileage car and shocks still have stickers on them, but definitely used. #P64054137G for the fronts. I haven’t removed the rears yet

Joe,
I ended buying an NOS pair from Micah that were correct for the car.
The shocks for the Mk2 through 420 do fit, but don’t have the correct damping rate for the Mk10.
Thanks, Nick
