Hey everyone, My 1984 XJ6 III is a beautiful car that is only
driven on a 3-4 times a year basis. The other time it sits covered
and gets started and warmed up once a week.
I’d bet the “warmed up once a week” does more harm than good. It should be “hotted up” by driving. Just warming an engine is a sure way to get gas and water in the oil and sludge building. Would be better to just drive it 3-4 times a year for at least 30 mins. (How does water get in the oil? Water is a big product of the combustion).
